Why choose One Tough Mother or the
individual readings?
The individual readings, which were edited to avoid duplicate poems, are now priced at $14.95 each, so an individual reading is less expensive than the One Tough Mother 2-disc set, which is priced at $29.98. However, if you're interested in having both readings, One Tough Mother contains extensive featurettes and extras and the readings are uncut.

One
Tough Mother N Bukowski
at the Huntington — In 2006
Bukowski’s wife, Linda, donated a considerable Bukowski archive of
manuscripts, first editions, paintings, and other materials to the
Huntington Library in San Marino, California. The Huntington Library
officially welcomed Bukowski’s papers with a celebration that included
speakers, friends, and family. Also included are interviews with Sue
Hodson, Curator of Literary Manuscripts at the Huntington, discussing why
the Bukowski archive fits right in with fellow literary greats, including
Jack London, William Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Christopher Isherwood, as
well as other world-class writers. About
Bukowski: Born Into This — An in-depth interview with filmmaker
John Dullaghan, director of the definitive Bukowski documentary. Also
includes selections from the film including poems read by Bono, Tom Waits,
and Bukowski’s publisher, John Martin, reading Bukowski’s last poem. Love,
Bukowski — Selected scenes from
the award-winning play performed live by Mark Piatelli, Rick Holban, and
Gavin Hawk of the California Repertory Company at the Edison Theatre, Long
Beach, CA. The company won a special LA Drama Critics Circle Award for
their outstanding work in 2005, including Love, Bukowski; and
Joanne Gordon, who conceived and directed Love, Bukowski, was also
nominated for an LADCC award for Best Adaptation.
